My favorite breakfast restaurant in town! They always have a variety of aguas frescas and every dish is scrumptious. My favorite are the enfrijoladas de pollo. *chefs kiss Keep in mind it is cash only.

I want you to look at me the way my lunch does. No, look at me the way I look at lunch. There we go. That's better. Lengua, yes Mom, tongue. I've met it several times, but I never truly knew it until today. La Lengua Veracruzana. I'm not sure if they were expecting me to like it, but I noticed all the owner and all of the staff were watching as I started to dig in. I'd also been dancing and got caught singing along to Usher, so maybe it was the general spectacle of it all they were taking in. But I can't fake my reaction, and I'm not sorry for pulling off hot pink so well. This was an amazing plate of food. Crunchy, yet soft veggies, the meat was very tender and cut easily with a fork. Even on a hot day, their soup is a light and savory start to the meal. Their house beans are awesome, a good kind of salty. Cute little mini-bottle of ranch for the salad, which I'd completely been oblivious of while consuming the rest of the plate. La Chula is a straight shot down the hill towards the beach from where I'm living. A block away from one of my favorite landmarks to grab an Uber to get as far away from, and as quickly as I can, Senor Frog's Gift Shop. Stop in, breakfast and lunch served every day, but Sunday, 8:15AM-4PM. I'll grab photos of their regular menu. I just haven't needed to look at it yet. Stick to the board, you can't go wrong. They have a limited offering chalkboard, which is 6.50 after 1PM. You get a drink, soup, an entree plate, and torillas. Photo of today's menu is included. My third time here and each time has been great, and I didn't anticipate it to continue to exceed expectations. I'm not sure next time will top this one, but I'll keep trying.

Friendly staff, Great clean place with tasty food, one of my favorites so far, while in downtown Puerto vallarta, try chilaquiles con arrachera, many fresh squeezed juices are available and made to order.

The highest quality breakfast or lunch you can get in PV. Authentic Mexican, and they don’t bother to cater to gringos. If you are a foodie, you’re not if you haven’t been here. Add the grapefruit jugo verde to your meal.

We had breakfast here twice. It’s very affordable and delicious. There’s at least one server that speaks very good English. We had the bacon and cheese omelette, yogurt and fruit bowl and red chilaquiles with chicken.

Fabulous place! Loved the chilaquiles. And they offered me a choice of jugo verde made with orange or grapefruit juice - I've never had jugo verde made with grapefruit juice and it was a bit less verde but soooooo delicious!!! Great service.

So far I've had the Chili Rellenos and Huevos Rancheros. The Rellenos came with 2 large poblano peppers stuffed with cheese, fried in egg batter, and served with rice, beans, and salad. The Huevos were delicious as well served on a tortilla with zesty ranchero sauce, beans and tortillas. Good food, service, and ambiance.
